Offering medical care in Nilüfer and Yıldırım districts of Bursa, holding quality certificates, JCI being the most notable, and achieving phenomenal success in the medical sector with brilliant projects such as Lean Hospital, Infant-Friendly Hospital and Health School, the Private Medicabil Hospital celebrates its 10th anniversary.
Lead by the Chair of Board of Directors of Private Medicabil Hospital, Prof. Dr. Ömer Faruk Bilgen, M.D., a great number of Private Medicabil Hospital staff has attended the event organized to celebrate the hospital’s anniversary. Taking the stage at the event, the Chair of Board of Directors of Private Medicabil Hospital, Prof. Dr. Ömer Faruk Bilgen, M.D., congratulated everyone who has played a role in carrying the hospital to the present day. Prof. Dr. Ömer Faruk Bilgen, M.D., said “With the experience we have had over the course of last 10 years, we will continue on our path for the next 10 years as a more effective and more beneficial institution to human health.”
“We work in a democratic environment” Underlining that one of the most significant characteristics of the hospital is the peaceful work environment available to employees, Bilgen said “This is the most important quality of our hospital. We work in a democratic environment. Everyone can express themselves at any time; this is a significant aspect of what we do. A lot of our colleagues have changed. Yet, the fundamental structure remains the same. Hopefully, from now on we will spend many years to come with a minimum negativity and much stronger anticipation towards the future. Over the course of our time together, we have lived through a great deal of experiences, for better or worse. For the better ones, we need to think how we can do even better job. For the worse ones, we need to take lessons. We need to do much better in the future by incorporating those lessons into our future plans.
An example of Lean Hospital concept
Pointing out that the Private Medicabil Hospital, which offers medical care with the concept of “Lean Hospital”, takes an important place across the country, Bilgen expressed his feelings as follows: “One of the most important features of our hospital is that it is an example of the lean hospital concept. There are many hospitals aspiring to transform into this model. We are supporting them during this process. We are helping many individuals wishing to write their academic theses. Our expectation from our future colleagues is to support us on our path with the same logic and philosophy. You all have provided your share of support for the last 10 years. Our hospital has 3 goals. The first one is to have 0 infections. Speed recovery and discharge… The second one is to eliminate the rate of re-application with the same complaints after the proceedings. Considering these goals and our plans laying out the things we have to do to achieve our goals, it is apparent that all of these require our healthcare professionals and physicians to possess the top-tier information on their respective fields. If we are able to ensure that, we will definitely reach our goals. To reach these goals means that we will have a crucial role in the global-scale. Our work is dealing with humans.”
“This success is for all of us”
Stressing the importance of being together, Ömer Faruk Bilgen said “I assure you that we will have a hospital where we can work in line with our ambitions and with our heart’s desire throughout the time we work together. In the past 10 years, we have opened our extra building and medical centre. Afterwards, we have transformed those buildings into hospitals. All of these achievements are direct results of being together and putting in good effort. The number of people whom we work with is important. Today, our number is approximately 500. The institution will continue to take care of its employees and carry on. Why shouldn’t our number be 5 thousand in the next 10 years, if it is 500 today? This is an important issue for our country as well. Together, we are strong. I believe that we carry out this task in the best possible way.”
Following the remarks of Prof. Dr. Ömer Faruk Bilgen, M.D., hospital executives and staff members have expressed their opinions on the past 10 years. At the end of the speeches, the special cake prepared for the 10th anniversary was served.
